NSPA products which are affordable at home spa treatments..

Introduction: How do I relax best?

Hello everyone so sorry I haven't been as active! All my assignments have just been sent before Christmas so really tried to get stuck in before I end up stressing in the new year.. not good for the soul that! I am not sure about you but I live a very hectic lifestyle, I tend to have days where I think i'm normal again, but that was just a breather & it all happens again! Therefore that's why I think it's important to just spare half hour to an hour daily to just stop, breathe and relax. I do this by either going for a run, boxing cardio session at home and then followed with a hot shower and my nspa products.

Anyhow, I noticed a lot of beauty bloggers are suggesting the nspa as a Christmas gift or treat to yourself, and I would definitely agree. Nspa have taken experience from their 25 years’ spa experience and created professional, affordable and indulgent beauty products for us.. finally, somebody! With skincare, bathing and body care ranges designed especially to treat, care for and de-stress even the busiest people. They have now launched a pregnancy range which looks amazing! Nspa can be found in believe it or not - your nearest ASDA store! I am not sure about other supermarkets but I'm sure it's available elsewhere if ASDA sell these products.

You can find them on Facebook here & their Twitter here.

Bargain! This box is only £10 in Asda which is not bad at all for 4 products that actually work! Listed below exact box:

From right to left,
  1. Melting Cleansing Gel: this can be off-putting to people with oily skin because of the word 'gel' - do not be afraid of that! This is gentle but effective as the formulation melts and emulsifies into a milk when you touch contact with water. The beauty of the Grape seed oil dissolves make-up thoroughly and hidden away impurities on the skin. When we remove impurities, what happens? Skin radiance shines through! Ginseng is your pocket full of moisturizer and it's packed with vitamin E as well as avocado, apricot and neroli oils. How can you not be convinced? Your skin is going to be looking flawless, healthy and kissable (you're going to smell YUMMY) - Dermatologically approved. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin - perfect for my skin type on that record.
  2. Hot Cloth Polish: A mild polish? bet you've not tried this have you! A polish is aimed on the skin to Cleanse, exfoliate and brighten your skin. Rich, creamy cocoa butter combined with sweet almond oil dissolve the day’s make-up and impurities before buffing away dead skin cells using the muslin cloth (this comes in the box above however you can also buy it singular and it comes with the cloth) Bursting with Natural vitamin E, avocado, apricot and neroli oils combine to leave skin feeling soft and moisturized. Again, this is step 2your skin is getting a very thorough, but gentle almost all natural cleanse. You can use an exfoliating glove as a replacement, just be careful you don't scrub to harshly on the skin with that as you can use these products day and night but exfoliating too much may cause aggravation. - Again, Dermatologically approved. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. 150ml.
  3. Radiant Flash Serum: Did you have a long night last night? Have you tried every concealer there is in the book to prevent the look of those tired eyes? The dreadful: 'yes she did go out last night', 'yes she was on the wine last night' and the the one we try to avoid the most which I think, is incredibly cheeky! 'Wow! you look tired what the heck have you been doing!' Well, this may be the thing for you. This beauty serum has been described as ‘sleep in a bottle’ as it recreates the benefits of a night of deep sleep. Packed with a powerful mix of moisturizing ginseng and natural vitamin E, radiance boosting maca root and grapeseed oil. Againt don't be afraid of all the oils in this product, their good oils used in small portions work wonders on your skin! - Again, Dermatologically approved. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. 150ml.
  4. Brightening Day Cream with SPF 15: A light, easily absorbed day cream ideal for anyone in a rush! Packed to the rim with natural vitamin E, sweet almond oil and radiance-boosting maca root to replenish and restore skin throughout the day. It contains SPF 15, providing a protective barrier to help prevent against sun damage. Key to anyone in the sun, however ladies we know what SPF can do on a night out - yes, no one could tell we contoured thanks to our flash enemy! Use this moisturizer in the day and avoid foundations and moisturizes that have SPF in for the night to avoid a scary white face and shocker brown arms.

Overview, do I recommend?

When it was all younger make-up wipes were enough. This was because I rarely wore make-up and it was just to cleanse my skin really. As I got older though, I obviously wear eye make-up, primers, concealers and so on therefore make-up wipes don't do the trick solo anymore. I find that these products work an absolute treat. They are not to harsh on the skin but they're effective. I recently tried the deep cleanser by Nspa and I wasn't as impressed with that as I thought I could use it daily but you can't as it's very deep cleansing, so I guess you know what's coming up next... I broke out big time. Another lesson learnt anyway, over-cleansing and over-exfoliating lead to breakouts as well as clogged pores and bad diets!

I tend to use this as a weekly treat though because I use clinique 3 step introduction kit now. This is because this works more effectively on my sensitive skin.

NSPA is against animal testing. None of their products or raw materials have been tested on animals. My most recent photo is below which you can find on instagram over here. (I follow all beauty bloggers back)
In the image above, I have on the following products:
(my cleanse morning and night is the NSPA products that I will list shortly)

The Dermatology Review - Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Introduction: So recently I have been major stressing out over my skin! Now we all have days where we wanna eat junk food - I have those days but very few. I would class myself as quite a healthy person. I drink tonnes of water & green tea in work and at home. I eat a lot of fruit especially oranges and apples and I don't eat any junk food to be honest I have everything cooked at home.

So lately leading from that - I have had a major break out on my forehead and nose area. I remove my makeup at night, I sleep well I am always hydrated and my cosmetic use isn't cheap! So after going through my diet, lifestyle ( I power walk 6 times a week 50 minutes a day for work) and anything else.. I  figured something was not right - it must be my makeup.

I have been dealing with 'raised areas' under the skin on my face which some people class as 'under skin spots' and I thankfully found this post on a review of the foundation here:

the dermatology review

It really opened my eyes. I steam my face once a week with a face mask and I frankly don't think my cleanser is enough for this foundation or I simply cannot  have the foundation anymore due to my sensitive skin. It's opened my eyes on definitely looking into chemicals and ingredients in products before I buy them.

Very upsetting because I have never found a foundation like this before that gave me these 'cant beat' factors:

  1. 100% coverage, build able
  2. Matte application - great for oily skin!
  3. Lovely tones to the skin
  4. Lasts me all day long without it smudging a pinch!
Luckily I only have a bit left in the bottle so I am absolutely devastated that I will not find another product!

Can anyone please help me with potential cleansers that can hack this foundation and can prevent my pores from clogging BUT is suitable for sensitive skin i.e. not to powerful?

Face mapping - free chart

Afternoon bloggers,

I figured this would be a good thing to write about since Christmas is coming & our skin tends to face most breakouts throughout seasons i.e. different climates, intake of more sugar/alcohol/processed food etc... You can apply whatever skin care you like - however if you have underlying skin problems then this will definitely help you.

Your skin is a great reflection on your diet. I have luckily never been a sufferer of acne however, I have struggled with bumpy skin surfaces what sometimes is defined to some people as 'under the skin spots' so to tackle this problem I have took a look into my diet & well being.

As you can see I don't have to do much talking as the face graph explains it all. If you have a lot of dairy, for example - you will notice this in the bladder area i.e. the forehead. Therefore I am actually just going to explain what you should be doing in order to tackle your skin area issue.

Christmas is coming! Therefore please DO NOT wipe out all the yummy things you should be eating in order too maintain this idea of fantastic skin! What I do advise from what I have learnt recently is to keep your diet balanced. This is the time of year for me where I tend to eat a lot more carbs however I make sure their usually whole grain and I eat brown rice and I leave the unlimited amount of potatoes for Christmas day! I can get away with this now as I started my new job a week ago which means I now have a nice 25 minutes power walk back and forth each day. I also eat so much fish and chicken it's unreal & I drink my body weight in water and green tea at work and at home so I pretty much am already easily balanced with food.

If you have my problem or acne or uneven skin tone etc... products do work! However usually the product is underlying and you may need to just write down what you eat day in and day out. Regular detox days are important especially after a heavy weekend partying or eating out!

Overall, my point is that Christmas I don't think is anybody's prime time to be losing weight. It's a time where we all wrap anyway so stuff the calories! However if you're on about skin care over winter here are some things to avoid and cut back on possibly too avoid major breakouts - I am not talking about small breakouts which are bound to happen.

  • Central heating - this plays havoc with your skin apparently! So layering up in the house is probably a better option.

  • Caffeine - coffees and energy drinks are okay maybe one in the morning to wake yourself up, but try and drink water and other teas and drinks in the day which are preferably sugar free.

  • Too much alcohol - try and make sure you're keeping hydrated between drinks or before your night and after. This is a vital role in actually keeping your hangover at bay which I am sure everyone wants but your body also isn't going into complete Dehydration! If you're having troubles with your forehead then this is where your liver is unhappy.

  • Too little exercise - I have no excuses anymore. I don't own a car and their are no buses that go my way to work so I have at least 50 minutes fast walking a day which I need to be honest when working at a computer all day!

Their are plenty more things you can do however these are just tips I have learnt from my personal experiences. One thing I would like to write about next time is starting from today I will be doing a 30 day skin map hopefully where each day I will be able track my progress & changes in my diet to help eliminate these skin issues and then to share with you guys!

I hope I have helped a few of you with just general skin care tips or ideas - this was just something I was thinking about on my dinner today and I thought it may come in handy.

this is why Beyonce Is the best...

Okay, I was scrolling through my tumblr dashboard and saw so many GIF's of Bey in her apartment. I was thinking surely this is a new video... I was right and it was by far the best freaking video out there you know why? We all know Beyonce can rock whatever look I'm talking a bin bag, bed hair, no make-up.. stuff she puts us to shame with how good she looks! So when I watched this video I gave her a huge hi-5 through my phone. In her own comfort (which I am assuming that's her lush pad right?), her whole look she wasn't looking diva-glam for once, she was just absolutely amazing!

Jay should be feeling very sorry for himselves. I am hooked on this song - Beyonce 7/11 & WELL... If you haven't seen it yet, I uploaded it for you.

Enjoy lovelies xx

Blemish Face Mask - Montagne Jeunesse review

Hello lovely bloggers,

Today I am doing a review on my all time favorite skin masks brand - Montagne Jeunesse!

At the end of each week, I like to wind down and give my skin a break. In winter especially due too the harsh weather conditions against your skin! However I do believe that beautiful skin is from the inside, i.e. what you eat/drink if you smoke/drink etc they all have effects on our skin! So when I come home I don't wear any make-up, I only try and stick to work and going out with friends.

I have tried pretty much all of the popular Montagne Jeunesse masks and it goes to show you it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to have nice skin! I tried the blemish mask which I will list below this morning and I am going to go through exactly what I thought of it as a first time user and my experience with it...

Why this mask?

I haven't tried this one before! Adding to that I obviously had reasons on buying it as I have dealt with a lot of blemishes recently due to stress and climate change etc... I also Love Aloe Vera on the skin and it has so many amazing benefits and it's a natural cooler which aids in skin care terms - reduces redness, inflammation, scars, burns and so on....

How did the mask sit on your skin?

Unlike the hot masks that Montagne have, this one sat very thick. It set very quickly even with maybe too much product and It did literally feel like I had cement on my face. I'd say it's a good job that you don't have to sit with this on your face for half an hour because I definitely struggled to eat my breakfast within 5 minutes of it on my face.

Would I buy this product again?

Of course! However I never buy the same ones between each skin prep. I always like to mix it up and not necessarily go for the pretty looking ones, just the ones that I feel suit my skin at the time. Sometimes I will deep cleanse every Sunday for 30 minutes and then sometimes I will just want a quick tea-tree 10 minute pick me up - it varies nicely!

The process of the mask. You don't have to use an exfoiliating glove to remove the product just a flannel of some sort with luke warm water. I like to use the glove because when I do want too deep cleanse, exfoiliating is very important and it strips away gently the dull skin and revives new skin - so you may as well make the most of the whole face mask process! I also love exfoilating with the mask because my skin is super smoothe afterwards and it just feels very clean, refreshed and healthy! The first picture is no-make up and the brightness from the bathroom light and window. I am quite blessed in a way to not really have many skin problems - I just have like every other girl pesky little zits and redness which appear daily!

When I have removed the whole product, I then apply VIC vapor gel to my face for 5 minutes. That really helps the skin breathe and just nicely finish the whole procedure - like I said, I don't do this all the time just weekly. Finally I remove the vip with a damp towl which is cold too close all the pores and dampen my face.

I hope you enjoyed my super quick post, and try it for yourself! If you didn't know, you can buy these face masks in pretty much every supermarket, retailer and so on and they vary from 89p too £2 mark!

Please feel free to share your thoughts, comments and problems as well - I am always more than delighted to engage conversation!

Beginners guide to applying False Eyelashes

Good afternoon bloggers,

So Halloween has just slipped away and I must say I have seen some tutorials and make-up looks that words simply cannot describe! However, I have never applied eye lashes before not even for a night out as I never really have felt the need too. However I went out as a kitty cat on Friday night and I had the 'winged eyeliner and lashes' going on! From watching endless beauty tutorials, I was able too remember key tips which I have learnt and practiced. I am going too show you in easy detail how too successfully apply eyelashes - no tricky equipment, just simple hands or tweezer application if you wish.

  1. I would recommend you apply any eye liner or eye shadow first simply because depending on the eyelash length - it will be a little tricky too apply those afterwards. Once you have a basic guide way of eye liner - you can easily disguise any gaps with more eyeliner. Always leave the lashes bare though until the lashes are applied, after applying the eye lashes - then blend your own eye lashes with the false ones.
  2. Make sure before you put glue onto the lashes that you measure them with your own eyes. Sometimes you will find their too long at the end so simply just snip bit by bit off at the end until they meet your desired length. Secondly, always make sure the eyelash is placed on the closest eye lash too your nose, as you're going too be cutting away the outer lashes and I say bit by bit because you don't want too cut too much off - work on them bit by bit.
  3. Once you have followed these two prep & prime steps what I would call them.. apply the glue too your false lashes. I recommend applying the glue first too the lashes and leaving them for 20-30 seconds so the glue is very sticky on the lashes. This is because I have noticed that when applying the glue and then straight away applying them that I can never get them too stick on and before you know it - you have ruined your eye-makeup! Yet everyone is too their own.
  4. Try and measure the lashes to your own before applying them because if you have set the glue it will be tricky to adjust them once they have been applied and you will end up with glue on your lashes and we don't want that!
  5. Hold the lashes even though they're sticky. Yes, they do have more chance of applying faster than applying them straight away - but they still need to be placed carefully.
  6. Once you feel as if the lashes are comfortable in their places - I like to use a cotton bud or a tweezer too use the skin on my eyeball too gently press down on the eye lashes. Not too harshly because you will knock the lashes off. This just helps the skin blend in more with the lashes and I feel as if it worked great for me!
  7. More than usual for beginners its extremely frustrating at the beginning maybe and even for professionals because it's a bummer when you do all the eye prep and you only need one shaky hand too have that all ruined! Yet applying false eyelashes is incredibly fun I love all the quirky and crazy ones you can get these days and I would definitely consider wearing them more on nights out because they just enhance your eyes and they do look amazing!

Too the left is my first attempt following all the tips and steps above. The right eye looks as if it's lost half the eyelash, but that was just the thickness of my eyeliner. This is extremely simple. I was pretty disappointed in my poor make-up for Halloween, however I have learnt some amazing skills and I hope to do better Christmas makeup!
