So the other week I discovered 'skinny coconut oil' as I was reading a lot about coconut oil and I came across their intsagram and fell in love. Below is a picture of some of their designs. They are not a UK company however I know that payday comes - I have a wish list from their website! That is when I will be able too review them and tell you all what I think.. until then though, I am going too be sharing with you why coconut oil is mainly important in the winter..
Coconut in general too drink can be very sweet and off-putting for some people I get that. Yet how about incorporating it into your foods? your hair masks? face masks? and so on... Coconuts are great for the winter simply because:
- After all that Christmas boozing coming up and staff parties, celebration boxes and Sunday roasts.. it aids digestion, which means it will help make the stomach feel a little lighter and you not feeling so sluggish!
- We all know that in winter, we don't want too go out and run or even attempt to go to the gym, really do we? Anyone that does - you're brave! I know that after work the only thing I want too do is to get into my comfy clothes and relax! Yet what happens when we stop exercising as much and eating those high-metabolism foods? It drops yet luckily.. coconut oil stimulates your metabolism!
- I think this is the best one. During winter women tend to deal with the S.A.D - seasonal affect disorder, i'm on them lines somewhere and basically your body goes into shutdown. It's a horrible thing too deal with but you're not alone! Coconut oil also improves energy levels, aids in weight loss, helps to keep blood sugar levels stable AND it adds too the aid of absorption of minerals and nutrients! Wow.. and breathe!
- IT STRENGTHENS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM! This is vital - so many nasty bugs are going around all the time... keeping your immune system high is key. You need too protect your body and put that first because you only get one body so really you should be treating it as if it's a temple. Simply as Lemsip's relieve the symptoms of a cold but your body is what actually fights the cold off!
- A big thing round Christmas is Depression. Sadly not everyone enjoys it and sometimes it's the worst time of the year for some people because their usually without family, a job, money, loved ones and sometimes even their homes. However depression also occurs in like i referred to before S.A.D in women - coconut oil can lift your mood and make you feel better about yourself simply because the more nutrients your body is given, the better you feel mentally. You should know this as in if you've been on a very heavy junk-fuled, boozing, partying weekend.. you feel like rubbish, but imagine doing everything differently!
